Buttons Types

The following button types are supported by the Button Card.

Even though the Button Card provides debouncing, a button detection may still be inconsistent. This can be resolved, when configuring the button using a configuration tool and setting the Debounce field to a value > 0.

Button Type	Description
Push Button	A simple switch that makes/breaks connection.
Toggle Button	Alternates between on/off states.
Tactile Button	Provides physical feedback when pressed.
Reed Switch	Operates in the presence of a magnetic field.
DIP Switch	Manual electric switch for settings.
Slider/Button Combo	Combination of a slider and a push-button.
