PCB Example Source Files

Overview

The LCC Fusion Project publishes a curated set of original Fritzing project files (.fzz) for selected Cards and Breakout Boards.

These files are provided primarily for developers and advanced builders who want to:

  • Inspect how Fusion PCBs are structured in Fritzing (schematic ↔ PCB ↔ silkscreen)
  • Understand layout conventions and connector usage
  • Modify, adapt, or extend designs using Fritzing software

These examples are reference designs—they demonstrate patterns and techniques, but they are not intended to represent every PCB in the project.

What is included (and what is not)

Included

  • Selected Fritzing source files for representative boards
  • Examples chosen for instructional value (layout style, labeling, routing, connector orientation)

Not included

  • Every LCC Fusion PCB design
  • Internal experiments, drafts, or designs that do not materially benefit from source publication

This approach keeps the project approachable while avoiding unnecessary complexity and support expectations.

How to use these files

Recommended use:

  • Treat these designs as reference patterns, not “official templates”
  • Copy techniques and conventions, then adapt to your own requirements
  • Validate any modified design with your own electrical and mechanical review before manufacturing

Available Fritzing project files

The list below is generated automatically from the repository. Add new files to the designated directory (see next section) and they will appear here.

Where to put PCB example source files

This page automatically lists Fritzing PCB source files located in:

  • assets/fritzing/

Only files with the .fzz extension are included in the list.

Use and Licensing

The PCB example source files provided on this page are made available under the MIT License.

These files are intentionally published as example designs to support learning, experimentation, and extension of the LCC Fusion Project. They may be freely used, modified, and incorporated into other designs, including commercial products, without restriction.

Developers are encouraged to use these examples as starting points for creating their own printed circuit boards that integrate with the LCC Fusion ecosystem, including custom cards that connect alongside existing LCC Fusion hardware.

The availability of these PCB example source files does not impose any requirements on firmware usage, contribution back to the project, or ongoing compatibility guarantees. No warranty or support is implied.

Licensing for firmware, documentation, and other project assets may differ and is described elsewhere in the LCC Fusion Project documentation.
